Our biggest and most fun fundraiser each year is the Strut Your Mutt event and the date has been set for the 2018 Houston Strut Your Mutt. Mark your calendars for October 13, 2018 at Stude Park, the same location for the past three years. We had our largest turnout of STAAR dogwalkers in 2017 and we were also excited to move from our continual third place showing to Second Place for all of Houston! Through all of your efforts we were able to raise over $15,000 for STAAR in 2017, a 37% increase over the $11,000 we raised in 2016. We will be sending more information over the following few weeks.

We really need your help this year as we do have a match.

She certainly lives up to her name. Although she was found in a culvert, emaciated, she still lives up to her name. She was

very timid and shy at first. Two days at STAAR and she is running and playing and eating well. She loves to run with er

new friend, Rascal. She also loves her kiddie pool.

He us now in a foster home where the people are home all day to care for him.
