Chad - on of our new Junior Volunteers takes charge!
We are in need of volunteers to help us in many ways. Since S.T.A.A.R. is a registered nonprofit organization, purely run by volunteer labor, we always need and welcome volunteers who can help us in our mission to save homeless animals. There is bound to be a capacity you can volunteer in, a project you'd love working on, or an idea you'd like to develop!

Claude and Stu our electricians after a day of hard, but happy work!

  • Is your talent fundraising?
We have many ongoing needs and projects that involve organizing and implementing fundraising activities.
  • Do you love working with animals?
We also need people to help out at our weekend adoptions. Volunteers walk the dogs and assist with screening interested individuals for adoption.
  • We need help collecting information for and aid in developing this website, if you'd like to get involved, scour the web for interesting pet and shelter related information and send it our way.
  • You also can get involved by making the community aware of what S.T.A.A.R. is all about, and the work we do. If you love doing promotions and public relations, perhaps there is a project you can get involved in helping S.T.A.A.R. spread the word.
Penny has become a mowing maniac! We can't get her off the mower - but the place looks great!
